We are currently looking for a skilled Underground Electrical Foreman to join our team and oversee the installation, maintenance, and repair of underground electrical systems. In this role, you will lead a team of technicians, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and in compliance with all regulations. Job Summary:The Underground Foreman oversees site preparation, excavation, trenching, and other underground activities. This role includes managing daily activities, maintaining equipment, collaborating with the Project Managers and customers to meet project objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and guide the underground crew, ensuring tasks are completed according to project plans.
- Work with Project Managers to plan and schedule activities; coordinate with other trades on-site.
- Interpreting blueprints and layouts.
- Enforce safety protocols and conduct regular inspections.
- Monitor work quality and ensure it meets company and client standards.
- Manage materials, tools, and equipment; track labor hours and material usage.
- Maintain daily logs and report progress to the Project Manager.
- 2+ years in underground; 1+ years in a supervisory role.
- Concrete finishing knowledge and experience.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, customer service, blueprint reading and communication abilities.
- Basic computer skills.
- Willingness to work in varying weather conditions and travel to job sites.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Must be able to be insured under company vehicle insurance policy.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Capable of working in various weather conditions, including extreme heat, cold, and rain.
- Stamina to stand, walk, and operate equipment for extended periods.
- Willingness to travel to various job sites as needed.
Work Environment:
- Outdoor:
- Primarily outdoor work, often in challenging weather conditions.
- Exposure to construction sites with varying levels of noise, dust, and heavy equipment operation.
- Frequent interaction with crew members, subcontractors, and other site personnel.
- Comply with OSHA safety guidelines and wear PPE as needed.
- Report hazards and follow safe work practices.
